California Girl

Packing Some Heat

July 13, 2010
Its so hot in California!  At least there is a bit of a breeze and lots of trees (that rhymed :).  So my life has been pretty interesting recently!  I heard some drama about a friend, and what happened with her really makes you lose trust in a person.  You think you know a person, and then they do something that is so out of the blue it just shocks you.

The fourth was fun, lots of good fireworks! It was kind of funny because where we were we could see Vacaville first then Dixon then Davis' fireworks go off.  I got a good tan that day which is saying something because I am so white!!  We spent tons of time by the pool, as I'm sure many others did.

Tomorrow I'm leaving for Elko, and I'm so excited!!  It's going to be so much fun to be out there and show for four days, to bad its a bit of a drive.  I just have to finish up packing some clothes and find some things, then I think I'll be all set :).  Moe was pretty good today, his setting and pivoting has improved a ton, just needs a little work on the backing and the lope offs, but we will get there!

I hope you all have a great week!!

Fun In The Sun

July 3, 2010
So I'm going to Elko for a show, so that's going to be fun!  I haven't gone that far away for a show before, so it will be different, and also super fun :).  I think we will do really well because he has improved so much!  We did pivots on the forehand today, and he was so good after he had a little fit.  He was also really good with the trail today, he did the 3-3 boxes perfectly :).

The Tour de France started today, and you should all watch it!!  And of course you all need to watch the World...

Mister Moe

July 2, 2010
I went and rode today, and Moe was perfect!  He was nice and slow and he kept his head super low!  Though he is still and idiot when it comes to trail.  I was jogging him over poles, and he still tick them and he has the widest turning radius of any horse.  Tomorrow I have a trail lesson, and I'm so nervous!  I have never actually had a western lesson until I took Moe over to the barn, so this will be my first proper trail lesson.  I haven't even shown in an actual trail class, so it will be ...

The Winds A Changing

July 1, 2010
The AQHA world is making some great, and needed changes.  In Novice classes, you can now show any horse, so that will make things much better for those showing in Novice Youth and Novice Amature classes.  Also, you may have noticed, but horses that don't have the heads in the ground and the people that actually have a good solid lope, not a 4-beat gait, are winning classes.  People are actually showing horses with long manes, and winning in western pleasure! Next thing you know people won't b...

**MOVIE REVIEW**

June 29, 2010
So I am assuming many have already seen this movie, because as always I have put viewing this movie off for no apparent reason.  The movie is P.S. I Love You.  It was very sweet and heart warming watching "Holly" try to get her life back on track after her husbands death.  I am not usually a fan of Hilary Swank because I usually spend the whole movie looking at her horse face, but I thought that she was really great, and portrayed the character beautifully.  The letters that she receives thro...
